We thought it would be interesting to begin creating an adoption diary; to begin writing down our thoughts as they come up regarding adoption process that has been going on for some time now.
We have completed all our documentation for the US governments and just await a child to be matched to us, and then for the paperwork to be processed in Haiti. In other words, the waiting period has just begun, and the Haiti part, well that can take some time.
A couple of weeks ago, some of you heard that a child had suddenly been identified for us through a single mom in rural Haiti who has not been able to take care of her kids. And, as qwuickly as that happened, a mere week later, it all fell apart becuase she could not go through with it. That, after a week of pictures and dreams beginning to stir up.... now back to square one.
Oh, well. We believed that God brought this little girl to us out of nowhere, and just because something has thwarted His plan, for now, for the little girl to have a safe, healthy loving home, does not mean God's work is done. Just for now, it is temporarily diverted. We will wait. We are patient. We hope. - Frank
