Let me introduce you to Haiti

Samantha was born in the poor south-west rural village of Lougou in the SUD section of Haiti. Haiti shares its island land-mass with the Dominican Republic, and together they form the island of Hispaniola. 
 
About 80% of the Haiti population lives in abject poverty, making it one of the poorest country in the world. Nearly 70% of all Haitians depend on the agriculture sector, which consists mainly of small-scale subsistence farming and employs about two-thirds of the economically active work force.
