It is now July 20th and we are still waiting for the proposal from the adoption agency with the legal details on Samantha and next steps. We will then be able to contractually 'lock in' on her as our child. This is really hard, this waiting period to formalize the adoption.
We know there will be a significant waiting period while Haiti formalizes things, but at least the written agreement is legally binding. I don't mind waiting after it's all agreed, it's the limbo beforehand when things are more lilely to go amuck.
We know that we are blessed beyond measure, and have nothing to be afraid of. We continue to ask for God's peace and patience in all of this. And we thank God for each of you interceeding in prayer on behalf of our little Sam.
