When I was an underwriter, I recall using the term proposal and quotation interchangeably. I would assess the risk, calculate as reasonable a price as would allow me to sleep at night, keeping away the wolves, then propose the quote...or was it quote the proposal? Who cares, right?
This morning, I received the follwing e-mail from our adoption agency in Haiti:
