This past week was a new challenge for Laurie and me. And not just because she turned the big 43 (oops!!!). We found out that Samantha's mom decided she also wanted to give up Smantha's next older sibling sister, Laura, for adoption.
*sigh*
You can see where this is going, can't you?
Laurie and I immediately developped mixed emotions. We want the girls (who are very close) to remain together; clearly this is best for most adopted siblings. On the other hand, we were thinking: wait a minute - our plans were only ever for one daughter....
So, we are adding this the long list of things we are giving up to God and asking Him for a leading of His Holy Spirit. We have also directed our adoption agency to determine what impact this might have on our adoption of Smanatha, what other paperwork might be involved, if any etc...
Laurie and I ask you to continue lifting these girls to God in prayer, and for wisdom for us, that we make wise, timely decisions.
