In my wildest dreams I would never have imagined how long hard the wait would be for Haiti to finish the adoption process for us. It continues to be a emotioinally draining process for both Laurie and me. And like any pot that one watches boil, these (apparently) last few weeks seem to last forever.
I was chatting with dou last night and she mentioned Gladys who lived in Port-au-Prince was leaving her home recently, and witnessed an abduction from the car in front of her. Yikes! She understandably turned right around and returned to her high-walled, heavy metal home compound.
We continue to pray for safety for the girls but also that the chaos there will not make things even worse.
