Wednesday 6:30pm 27th

It looks like Laurie will be able to go home as soon as Saturday morning - amazing! Can we start things earlier Missy??? I will call you tomorrow.

Dr. Lillehei came by earlier about half hour ago to check up on Laurie and essentially confirmed again that things look very good. Of course final details will be made once the lab has completed the evaluation of the entire mass that was removed, which may be mid next week. Still, the news looks extremely good.

Laurie continues to be quite groggy under the influence of heavy pain meds. While there would be no pain from the brain surgery (some may find it interesting to learn there are no pain nerves in the brain) there is from removing and the replacing the skull with staples (ouch!).

I have to be out of the room ion about 30 mins from 7:00pm-8:30pm for the changing of the 'nurse' guards, so I am heading downstairs for din-dins to the cafeteria. Yum yum. More to follow, I am sure.
