Laurie by now is undergoing surgery. I came out of the pre-op area about 30 minutes ago and Barb R was waiting for me as she said she was. The heart of a pastor.
Met with Dr Lillehei her neurosurgeon and a gazillion other doctors here who will be oerforming the gazillion other non-neuro medical prodedures Laurie will need. This seems like a really great group. I know that casue noone was blowing up surgical gloves like they did on scrubs or Howie Mandel.
Barb and I are dug in here in the waiting area for at least a 6-7 hour stint until Laurie's recovery room will be available. I will crash there tonight. Ths hospital filters blogs so I need to use judiciously; I will try to keep you posted as soon as I hear anything. God is good!
