It was great to make our first real visit back to the Journey since Laurie's surgery. The kids had been traelling with Yvonne and Matt while I stayed back with Laurie....
We were reminded while there of all the folks who blessed us a meal over th e past few weeks. A HUGE Thank You from our family to all of you, but in particular to Missy for orchestrating it all out of her spiritual giftedness!
All in all a dreary sort of day that did sunny-up, but remained chiilly. These type of days prompt Laurie to spend a lot of the time resting in bed, reading. And she did.
Incidentally, on the subject of reading, I am reading a fascinating book by a former president, Jimmy Carter. For various reasons I did not learn about U.S. history as a kid, so I am going through a phase wanting to read all sorts of historical novels (good ones). This one, called "The Hornet's Nest", takes a southern perspective, and hevily concentrates on the goings on in Geirgia, the Carolinas and Florida during these years. I have to say I like it a lot.
