There's a story I forgot ot tell you all about that happened shortly after Laurie got out of the hospital, and I just forgot (I know...what's my excuse?).
So, Laurie had surgery on Oct 27th was in ICU overnight and one day (this was when she pulled out the IV in her arm and sprayed everything within a two feet radius with blood). Otherwise, all was fine.
After a few days in a regular room we got to go home and a handful of days later, Laurie receives a couple of packages in the mail. One was some dog accessories she has purchassed online and the other was a very tasteful, small chocolate Coach ourse that hd been purchase on eBay.
I guess my first reaction was that I had no idea she had been online and could even do this.... And it gets better.
Laurie - half out of her mind, so to speak, had been online and had made the purchase of the dog stuff. The woman had just had brain surgery. Might she accidentally misplace the decimal place and spend 1,000 instead of 10?
Anyway, it did not happen, but still, here we had just also received a new purse that had been puirchased on eBay, and all snd could say was, "I have no idea where this came from". I Just figured she could not remember buying it....she really did not think she had, and was a bit worried. I sortof wanted to take credit for it as it was really cute. Down, Satan....
About 3 days later, our dear friend Diana, from Chicago, sent an e-mail asking whether Laurie had received a purse in the mail; she had got it on eBay. It was intended to replace the one Laurie lost in the blood fiasco in ICU...LOL! What a hoot.
