It's funny how writing falls a bit to the wayside when work starts to creep back into the picture after some time off. With Laurie back home this past weekend, she is now doing a lot of sleeping (imagine that!) right next to my office. I guess some would consider that a downside. Not really, though. Laurie is my priority, but when she is snoozing, it gives me more time to do some catch up. Win win.
Some great news: this morning was KLaurie's last steroid pill, so I hope she begins to feel a bit more comfortable and less edgy, which the steroid does. I am confident this will be a good move.
Second, I got her out of the house today and we went and cast our ballots today. Big vote day for the States (so not a presidential election, which is considerd a Federal elections). We also stopped off at Mikkey D's for a smoothie. It was good to get her out. It is a georgeous day in Denver, a stunning fall day in the low 60's.
