Another week already. Wow! And another break from treatment - yeah!

It was a good week and Laurie seems healed from the surgery now and most if not all of her symptoms are radiation related. Chemo is having an effect I am sure also, but they are less evident. Very tired, foggy thinking and lots of hair loss. The effect is accumulating so that the longer she goes it seems to be aggregating. Or maybe it is just the race is longer, and it is just increasingly tiresome. I am thankful especially for mornings and weekends; mornings before treatment Laurie has lots of energy and seems to think much more clearly. Same on weekends! We are excited about January 11th and if you are reading this and are in the Denver area, we will be popping a cork on a bottle of bubbly after she is done - you are invited!

So, after breakfast today, we are all heading to a matinée this morning. Going to see Tangled in 3D, which seems to be loosely based on the life and times of Rapunzel. I know it from Sami, our 8yr old; and the commercials which show her letting down her hair. Other than the hair-thingy, I don't think I know absolutely anything else about the Rapunzel story.

I mean why was she imprisoned in the first place? And is it really sanitary to allow your hair to grow that long? Back in the olden days (when she no doubt lived) it is fair to assume she probably didn't wash it properly either. Once a month or so....A mass of festering lice, bed bugs, dandruff, etc.... Nice!

Makes me not want to go now...

After the movie the kids go home and Laurie and I are meeting with coworkers of mine from various parts of the world who are in the States working on a project. We are meeting for lunch at the Cheeky Monk at the Orchard. Highly recommended!

We always enjoy getting together socially them when they are in town!
