Sunday Afternoon 14th

Today was a day Laurie and I decided we wanted to emphasize family; and one of the easy ways to do that is going out to a movie. So we decided to go to the matinee and see Megamind. For all the hype I should come away with close to a mountaintop experience, but all I can honestly offer it, 'it was ok'. Lazy day here for us Livingstons all around, as I hope it was for you too. Next week I need to wrap up acquiring Laurie's chemo meds which we will probably buy from a specialty online site due to cost. It scares me a bit when I talk to two vendors and neither could give me an est cost. Hello? I know it will be high and I am seeing new areas of bureaucracy with meds during my quest. Another area I quickly realize must be a real challenge for folks who do not fall into the 'well off' category. Options. I can check around and seek out advocates to help us weed through this process. Laurie needs the medd in order to begin radiation, which we are hoping to begin on Friday...

Laurie update

We are so thankful for the outpouring of love and support everyone has shown our family this week. It has touched us in a humbling way. It is also a real testimony of the grace of God in our life. Thank you all.

You will notice the GREAT news that Laura is a Sickle Cell carrer only. It will give new meaning to how Dad screens potential boyfriends ;-) Their guardians for us, Nick and Madeleine, have now relinquished them back to the orphanage, as we to be in the final 2 month stretch. Appear is the operative word here.... This is a critical time, so we covet your paryers for the girls health, our sanity, the remaining political and administrative processes, and for safety when we go and stay in Port for another week to pick them up.
